      • abstract: This data set contains the information needed to calculate the National Environmental Public Health Tracking Network (NEPHTN) measures of contaminants in community water systems that service a retail population. Data was derived from the Utah Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS) database. This data set contains records with information about each community water system (CWS) including number of connections, population served and approximate location. This data set contains the information needed to calculate the National Environmental Public Health Tracking Network (NEPHTN) measures of contaminants in community water systems that service a retail population. The measured contaminants are arsenic, disinfection byproducts [haloacetic acids (HAA5) and total trihalomethanes (TTHM)], nitrate, atrazine, di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), radium, tetrachloroethylene (PCE), trichloroethylene (TCE), and uranium. Data was derived from the Utah Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS) database. This data set contains water quality sampling records for each community water system (CWS) for the mean and maximum concentrations per year of each of the above mentioned contaminants; and the mean concentrations by quarter of atrazine, nitrates and disinfection byproducts.
      • Important: This data provides summary information about drinking water contaminant levels and the population exposed. This data is available for public use.

      • Constraints:
        • Access: Public Health Professionals may only access Utah Tracking Network data through Secure IBIS-PH or in any other way after submitting a complete application as contained in the document Third Party Application for Access to Secure IBIS-PH for Public Health Professionals. Similarly, researchers must submit a complete application as contained in the document Third Party Application for Access to Secure IBIS-PH for Research Projects. The Scientific Review Board (SRB) does not serve as an Institutional Review Board (IRB). Applications requiring an IRB must submit for IRB approval separately. The applications can be submitted concurrently, but the SRB will not grant data access until they have received proof that the IRB has approved the research project. The SRB may conditionally approve access to Secure IBIS-PH pending IRB approval. The SRB ensures that the research proposal meets all of the data owner(s)’s requirements. Visit http://epht.health.utah.gov/epht-view/dataportal/SecureDatasetIntroduction.html for more information.
