Prior to 2015 San Juan County was part of the Southeast Local Health District. In 2015 the San Juan County Local Health District was formed. Data reported are for all years using the current boundaries.

As of November 22, 2017, the IBIS system has been updated to use an algorithm which uses both ZIP and county information to designate Local Health District (LHD) and Utah Small Area. Queries by LHD or Small Area may yield different numbers than in prior months. For more information go to [https://ibis.utah.gov/ibisph-view/pdf/resource/Algorithm.pdf]

Please note that in 2023 the question for race changed. This query applies the new coding structure for race to all years of data for comparison. Therefore, numbers queried previously may not match those shown here.

Denominator includes female survey respondents ages 40 years and older except those with missing, don't know and refused answers. If the query was limited to a particular sub-population-group, only those respondents are included in the denominator.

Age-adjusted rates are based on 3 age groups: 40-49, 50-64, and 65+.

If race has been selected, age-adjusted rates are based on 3 age groups: 40-49, 50-64 and 65+.

When there are no observations for one or more of the age categories used for age adjustment, the response categories may not sum to 100%.

The confidence bounds are asymmetric.
