Relevant Population Characteristics for Blood Cholesterol Screening

Relevant Population Characteristics

Nationally, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have documented that screening for high blood cholesterol is lowest among those 18-44 years, Hispanics, and those with lower levels of education. They recommend that public health practitioners, health care providers, and educators emphasize cholesterol screening among these populations and among men.
