Relevant Population Characteristics for Lynch Syndrome (Cancer)
Relevant Population Characteristics
Persons without health insurance are less likely to undergo cancer screenings, which can delay access to necessary services including cancer treatment and genetic counseling and testing. Additionally, people are more likely to receive screening as their level of education increases. Screening is vital in diagnosing potential hereditary cancers, so it is important to examine the potential barriers to screening for Utahns.
