Health Care System Factors

People living in poverty are less likely to have health insurance coverage and often find it more difficult to pay for needed medical care. Some literature suggests that they are more likely to be hospitalized for conditions that should have been controlled in the outpatient setting ("ambulatory care sensitive conditions" or ACSCs).
