Relevant Population Characteristics
Higher rates of obesity are found among women who are:
* older than 30 years of age
* of lower education levels
* of Hispanic ethnicity
* of Pacific Islander, Black, or American Indian/Native Alaskan race
* living below 100% of the federal poverty level
* uninsured prior to pregnancy
